The Beachside Restaurant and Bar at Jamaica Bay

With stunning views of Marina del Ray harbor, The Beachside Restaurant and Bar at Jamaica Bay Inn is located right on Mother’s Beach and offers casually elegant accommodations with sophisticated amenities. The location places guests within easy access of LMU, LAX, nearby Fisherman’s Village and the eclectic areas of Venice and Santa Monica. Between bikers, beach walkers, and guests, the restaurant will become a “must stop in” from travelers alike that follows the restaurant’s original claim as “savory waterfront dining”.
The Beachside Restaurant and Bar will stay true to its casual, yet sophisticated waterfront characteristics. Just as the menu displays its attention to locally caught seafood and thoughtfully sourced ingredients, the concept will also reflect the idea of locality.
As you look at an aerial view of where ocean and shore collide, you are greeted with the gentle yet energizing dark to light color scheme naturally created. As one moves towards the depths of the ocean, the color palette becomes dark, intimate, and moody. In the opposite direction as one draws nearer to the shore, the colorways become bright, light, and energizing. The design of The Beachside Restaurant and Bar will reflect these colorways to create a subtle transition between dark to light throughout the space.
Nestled towards the back or deeper part of the space, the private dining and meeting areas will play host to the darker, intimate, and moody color palettes, just as the deeper, back portion of the ocean. As the user transitions to the central portion of the space, the color palette reflects medium tonal patterns. These areas include the interior portions such as the indoor dining, banquette seating and indoor bar. Finally, as the guest gets closer to the lightest portion of the beach; the shore, the color palette follows suit. The fire pit, outdoor dining, and outdoor bar reflects the lightest hues of the palettes. Seafoam blues and moody turquoises are drawn from the ocean and harbor colors that will compliment any view. Local textural patterns and materials such fishing net, sea glass, rope and agate will be used in modern, sophisticated ways to give each space an added level of indigenous California coastal style.
Just as the flavor of the tropics on the menu inspires the guests to unwind and let go, the Beachside Restaurant and Bar will complement the cuisine in the same regards. Influenced by the West Indies with modern rattan furnishings, bright colors and rich fabrics, the Beachside Restaurant and Bar will pay tribute to being a chic, island-inspired accommodation.
