La Posada Sante Fe, A Tribute Portfolio Resort and Spa
Santa Fe, NM | Hospitality
In March of 2015, our hospitality design firm completed a historical renovation of the guest rooms and public spaces at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort. With its historical significance dating back to the 1880s, La Posada de Santa Fe combines accommodations of a modern resort with authentic adobe architecture that celebrates the city’s artful past. The renovation included the hotel’s historic Staab House, built in 1882, which houses two restaurants, the Staab House Bar, a library and lounge, and a beautiful reception and lobby area. The renovation also included 157 casita-style guest rooms.
Studio 11 Design has redesigned several of the spaces and created a warm, artful feel tailored to the resorts romantic past and fusing it will a modern future. Designs were developed from traditional Santa Fe and local Arapaho Indian inspirations in the area blended with Studio 11 Design’s sleek and modern flair. Studio 11 Design drew inspiration directly from the hotel’s ties to its surroundings. The carpet in the meeting rooms was developed directly from the gorgeous rust and red sediment striations found in the surrounding landscape plateaus. The Staab House bar has been redesigned to hearken back to its original heyday using rich leathers mixed with a desert chic aesthetic.
Historically significant project.
