Cultural Influences blended with a sleek and modern flair
Le Meridien Indianapolis is an iconic historical destination, which showcases cultural influences in the area blended with a sleek and modern flair. The inspiration was directly drawn from the hotel’s ties to its surroundings. The feature wallcovering at the headboard wall was specifically developed for this project and is an interpretation of a bird’s eye view of the hotels’ city. The custom carpet design drew inspiration from the road map of the city and several textiles found in the space were custom designed to reflect the city’s spirit.
Due to the historical significance of the properties location, we wanted to maintain a direct line to the history of the building and city while introducing the Le Meridien brand to the area. We did this by incorporating custom designed finishes and textiles inspired by elements and shapes found when viewing the city of Indianapolis from above into the established midcentury modern Le Meridien aesthetic.
